What is Vaasthu Shasthra? 

Vaasthu Shasthra is an ancient building science derived from Vedas. Vedas were not easy for a common man to understand and hence to benefit the man kind saints, sages and divine personalities of ancient times simplified the information from Vedas and transferred them to different texts.

Vaasthu Shasthra was divided into 2 branches based on the application.

Divine vaasthu and Non-divine vaasthu.

Divine vaasthu is derived from Agama Shasthra a part of the Veda and is applicable for temples. Famous Balaji temple in India was built as per Vaasthu code.
Non-divine vaasthu is derived from Stapathya for residential and commercial purposes. Information about Vaasthu Shasthra can be found in many texts like Matsya, Skanda, Agni, Vishnu and Garuda puranas.

Is Vaasthu Shasthra particular to any group? 

You might have heard about Astrology and Yoga, that was derived from Vedas. They are being practiced all over the world since people have realized their benefits.
Similarly Vaasthu Shasthra is universal and hence is applicable to all keeping in mind the people's well being. I have clients from different countries.

Are Fengshui and Vaasthu Shasthra similar? 

Fengshui and Vaasthu Shasthra are somewhat similar but their origins are different. Fengshui is a Chinese concept and Vaasthu is an Indian concept. Fengshui means wind and water. Both these concepts mention about positive and negative energies and methods to balance them. Yin and Yang are the positive and negative forces in Fengshui.

What are the benefits of Vaasthu Shasthra? 

Benefits Vaasthu Shasthra are abundant. To mention a few, Homes built as per Vaasthu Shasthra will have more positive energy and hence can bring Health, Wealth, Peace and Prosperity.

What are the attributes of Vaasthu Shashtra? 

Attributes are many, few of them are mentioned below.
Location of the plot.
Shape of the plot.
Profile of the plot.
Space around the plot.
Direction of the plot (Must be compatible with the horoscope).
Vibration of the plot (Must be compatible with horoscope).
Energy field inside the house, (Must be compatible with owners)
Location of rooms/structures (For peaceful dwelling).

What is the importance of direction?

Directions are very important factor for an ideal home and plays important role in bringing health, wealth, peace and prosperity due to the following reasons -
Directions are owned by ashta dikpalakas and managed by planets. Everyone has planets affecting us. Planets are basically of two types: Malefic and Benefic planets. Benefic planets are friendly planets that support you and maleficnon-friendly planets that planets are pull you down.

Your house entrance should be in the direction favourable to you. As a result this will bring health, wealth, peace and prosperity.

Is it true that east or north direction is good? Please suggest.
This is not true for all. Directions are owned by ashta dikpalakas and managed by the planets. Certain planets are allergic for certain people.
Let me give an example: Sweet is not advisable for a person with Diabetes. Milk is not advisable for a person with Lactose intolerance & Spice is not advisable for a person with Stomach Ulcer. Similarly East and North directions are not good for all. I have some clients who have seen the growth in the opposite directions South, West as advised by me.

How do you determine the direction? 

I use the concept of Jyothisha (Astrology) to determine the direction through various permutations and combinations. My family i.e. my father, grandfather and ancestors have all been in this profession that has been passed onto us from past 1,900 years.

What is the role of the shapes? 

Generally, certain shapes like square or rectangular plots are considered for residential buildings with certain exceptions. Pie shaped lots are good in some cases. Irregular shapes can be good if the vibrations are good. These can be determined by onsite visit during the Vaasthu audit.
Negative vibrations from the irregular plots can be channelized as per the various remedies of Vaasthu Shasthra.

How do you determine the vibration? 

Vibrations are determined by Tanthra; a unique practice that has been in our Tantry family.

What can you say about the profile? 

A plain profile is normal, profile that slopes toward the east are considered very auspicious. 

How about the corner plot? 

As mentioned earlier, corner plots can carry positive or negative energies and is based upon the planet compatibility. The plot may be good but if it's not compatible to you then you shouldn't go for it. Please understand that good milk in a dirty glass will spoil the milk, likewise your career may be questionable if you get into malefic planet vibrations.

What is energy field and why is it so important?

Energy field or Shakthi is formed with the interaction of pancha buthas like Fire, Air, Earth, Water and Ether with the planets. These energy fields affect us through panchendriyas (five senses).

Humans are continuously responding to the pancha buthas and are learning to use them through the application of Shasthra & Science/Technology.
Solar energy from sun.
Wind energy from air (Electricity through wind mills).
Heat energy from fire.
Thermal energy from water.
Crude oil and Uranium from the Earth which are converted to fuels for energy, Magnetic energy and light energy (Ultrasonic and laser beams) are all used for therapeutic use.

So energy fields are everywhere, around us and inside our homes.

Auras are the energy field around us and can be seen through Kirlon photography. Astral body factor compound the auras, the more positive we are the better is the energy field around us. You might have seen a powerful light behind the photos of gods and divine personalities. These are the enlightenment through Sahasrara chakra.

Vaasthu Shakthi is the energy field inside the homes. We can balance the energy field and make our home atmosphere positive. Please understand houses are made of wood and bricks. Homes are made of positive energies.

Imagine the energy levels in the temples and with the company of divine personalities. You get empowered with their presence and get peace of mind unlike bad personalities that over power you. Energy fields can be made positive by proper positioning of rooms and structures.

Can homes be built as per 100% Vaasthu compliance? If not what is the remedy? 

Please understand that in-order to achieve perfect health you need a perfect balance of vitamins, minerals, regular exercise and proper food intake. Similarly a home can be made 100% Vaasthu compliant, if it's custom built right from the site selection, ground breaking... final finishing and home warming ceremony/Vaasthu pooja followed by a pooja periodically. Just like oil change in your car.

Remedies are available for minor infractions. This is similar to medicinal supplements for deficiencies B6, B12, Iron, Calcium and Insulin. The remedies are dealt with on an individual basis (Horoscope).
You can't find 100% perfect home as per Vaasthu in Canada as many of them are built by developers.

This service is unique and blended with my combined experience of Vaasthu Shasthra and Real estate. Advice the direction based on a common platform for husband/wife. Onsite visit to analyze the energy field, room location and other vaasthu features to match with your horoscope profile. Note:

There are many books about vaasthu giving generic solutions. You can't cure the disease with little knowledge. When people have problems they look for expertise and solutions.

Over the counter drugs like Tylenol can cure the headache (symptom) but, not the underlying cause for pain. Antacid can address your heart burn (symptom) but, not the cause. You need to get the diagnosis done, if it's happening regularly. You have to cure the root cause of the disease not the symptom. It's very important to get the best results with the combined application of vaasthu, astrology and prashna.

Every case is unique and different. You can't feel the difference between sugar and salt without tasting it. Similarly you can't differentiate good or bad homes without going through the experience. Some people get into good homes by coincidence or chance and say it's blind faith.
